Rolling Stones Discounted Tickets

The Stones money grab doesn't seem to be working too well, so, for the first 2 stops on their current tour, they released huge batches of the discounted $85 tickets in order to fill the venues. The regular ticket price for upper levels was $250 and $150, and lower level seats were $450 and $650. There are also various pseudo-VIP ticket packages.

We scored the $85 tix during the initial onsale (you could only link to the deal via Rollingstones.com), but last Thursday, they released what seemed like over a thousand additional $85 tix for the first L.A. show which was last Friday. Our seats, which were originally priced at $450 each, were in the premier level at Staples Center.

    nice work!

We got them for one L.A. show and one Anaheim show.

Make sure you allow enough time to wait in line at will call, especially if they release more of these tickets.

We waited in line for nearly an hour....they check your name off a list, then hand you a random envelope.

generic $10 poster, and a $250 gorilla poster. They have the most merch I have ever seen for one band. In case you want to be surprised, I won't mention the concepts.

L.A. was basketball and hockey.......shirts had team colors and the applicable object of play (fancy way of saying basketball or puck!).

    No hint of team emblems.

they also had one with Clipper's colors.

They had this poster at Echoplex, so I thought there might be show specific posters all tour.

Somebody said it's an homage to something, I forget what though. Kind of weird style. Keith looks like a hobo.

So, when they release the discounted tickets do you get them through Ticketmaster, or do you have to go to the RS50 page where the original $85 tix link was during the public sales?
