Sorry Ed... and I'm moving (Milwaukee is embarrassing)

I am truly sorry for how people from Milwaukee acted last night. I know its all over the boards, but what the fuck? I was in the second row center and was able to contain myself, enjoy the show, and not yell out. Ed said it right when those people ruin it for everyone. He seemed to be able to take it for a while, but enough is enough. All I have to say is fuck you to the screamers. You don't realize you can be heard. You're not in a frickin arena. Stay at home next time and let others go to the show instead. Oh.... that's right. There probably won't be a next time. Again, sorry Ed. You still rocked the house though! Also, as a side note, I think that I will be taking a teaching job in another state as I am ashamed to be from here any more.

  • I feel your frustrations. I keep reading how people feel EV/PJ will probaly never return to WI. Do you really feel this way? Yes, the crowd was bad last night, but in hindsight, it wasn't that bad. But, I don't feel EV will mention this for future touring plans.....let's not play Alpine for spite.......IMO

I sure am glad I didn't get 10c tix like I tried to for the show in Milwaukee. Would have been dissappointing if I drove up to MIL and the show was ruined by a bunch of douchebags screaming the whole night. Here's hoping Chicago shows Milwaukee how a real city does it........

Well i was at the show and yes it was bad! but to say Chicago is going to show Milwaukee how a real city does it is just plain stupid. Do you really think all the loud mouths will not come to the two shows in Chicago? It will be just as bad IF NOT WORSE! Come on people... Milwaukee is not some dumb city people can write off because we love cheese, brats, beer, and cream puffs... we also love Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder! I remember reading two weeks ago how some idoits started yelling and screaming in Boston and also got thrown out! Ohh but wait... people are smart in Boston because of the college scene and their sooo close to New York. A drunk idiot is a drunk idiot no matter where they live so stop bashing Milwaukee and the people of Wisconsin. Let's wait until these real fans in Chicago start yelling too... it's going to happen.
Do you know what it's like to fall in the mud and get kicked... in the head... with an iron boot? Of course you don't, no one does. It never happens. Sorry, Ted, that's a dumb question... skip that.

Honestly, I think most of the people doing the yelling were not even from Milwaukee. I heard tons of "Cubbies" yells and nothing about the Brewers.

Eddie was making fun of Milwaukee the second night in DC. It's as if he already knew what was ahead of him.

It was the smallest venue on the tour (I believe), so it all was the more obvious, even if no worse than several other shows...I'm pretty convinced that had allot to do with it.

Again..maybe because he knew it was the smallest venue. I remember discussion about this, but it surprises me and he may take it back after Chicago.

Thinkin of their proclaimed love for Alpine (not far from Milwaukee) and the famous 1995 show there.

Or maybe he's just another biased CUBS fan! :)

that's so funny cause my two best friends are sisters from australia. when they begin a conversation, the volume intensifies to the point where their dogs start to fuckin go insane...i bet that's just probably them though. they're special.

on a side note, nyc didn't suck at all with the screamers. night two had a couple of annoying moments but it was all good. night one, some guy yelled,"eddie i love you!!" to which he replied," well, i'd say i love you too, but i don't know who i'd be talking to. i don't want to disappoint my other boyfriends in the crowd." everyone fuckin laughed so much...hilarious moment. ed rocks :)

"oh no eddie vedder might be mad at me!?!" wake up: he's a fuccking rock star. he doesn't give a shit and you dn't need to apologize and move because people yelled. its a concert not a church, mosque, or synagogue. relax!! he prolly made over 100,000$ for just that one show.

i'm soooo upset after hearing about the milkwaukee show. that just fucking sucks. why would you go to a show like that if you're just going to scream stupid shit??? people need to get some fucking class.

i'm sure the chicago shows will be better. have fun everyone and be on your best behavior ;). let's leave ed on a good note and show him how appreciative we all are for this whole tour and everything. :) wish i was there.

Agreed. I would say at least 25% of the patrons at this show were from Chicago. And plenty of the screaming was about how cool Chicago was and how the Cubs are sooo awesome. So, this isn't just a "Milwaukee" problem. It's an idiot problem.

I laugh at someone who would move out of state because of this.

    Thats really hilarious.
  • After already posting a negative thread, I do have to say - the show ROCKED! The setlist was awesome and we did get to see Ed's humor come out. I have never had better seats in my life and totally appreciate the tenclub! THank you thank you thank you to all the years of great music and the amazing music the other night. I am also on board for LIam now as well. Was really looking forward to hearing him and wasn't let down. Thanks to all the "Good" fans in Milwaukee and for Ed for coming to see us.

    Chris

Ok, I've had more time to reflect and my emotions aren't quite as near the surface as they once were. I still feel a bit bad for Ed, but that is the way things go. I did feel that a positive post was necessary as well. Later.

    http://calorielab.com/news/2008/07/02/fattest-states-2008/

Came across this a couple days ago. Illinois pretty much as chubby as WI. Plus Illinois had a greater obesity increase this year than WI. Go WI!!!!

    also we're not so dumb:

on a serious note, if Ed wants there to be no pirates of silence he needs to have no alch at shows and needs to be more dictator-like while playing. Like kicking out screamers immediately.
