It's not worth $14. More often than not airplane wifi is super slow. You can go to basic webpages, but even that's slow most of the time.
Don't think about streaming anything, because it really won't be able to...and some airlines block some streaming websites and apps (HBO GO, Netflix).

I get airline wifi because my company pays for it, and I get it free on Southwest (best airline wifi) because I'm A-List Preferred.
If traveling for personal reasons, I probably wouldn't waste the money.

I've used hi wifi a few times to surf pearl jam & stuff.

I can't remember if it was delta or not, but I didn't experience any cut outs
