I would pay one million space bucks to see this.
All the rusted signs we ignore throughout our lives,.....choosing the shiny ones instead,......
  • If you had been at AV for PJ20 you would have heard most of it. Interestingly, some folks railed against it proving there are some people that just like to be unhappy.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

There's a TOTD poster on the Bubble Boy's wall during that episode of Seinfeld.

Sheer madness! I'd sacrifice a testicle just to see Say Hello To Heaven never mind all the other songs they played but to hear the whole thing, wow, that would take some beating! I couldn't believe it when people were complaining about their set at PJ20. This was historical and I'd have gone home from Alpine very happy.

I appreciated the historical value of the Temple of the Dog reunion at PJ20. But if you are not a Chris Cornell fan (which I am not), then it just seemed like a 15-20 minute pause in the middle of a Pearl Jam show (2 nights in a row).

  • this would be nice, but it won't happen in my country... I would love a reissue treatment for this album as the one Mad Season got, though...

I guess he isn't everyone's cup of tea indeed. I expected PJ20 to be like this and was a big reason for wanting to go but on the other hand there were probably many people of the same opinion as yourself. Maybe one night would have been more acceptable to some.

Shame they didn't have a Green River segment on night two... :|

Will they ever release the official audio bootlegs of their 2016 tour?

I really hope so, but doubt it at this point. I was at the msg show and would love to relive it.

I saw them on their first tour stop in Philly, it was their first real show since the off ramp in 1990.  And the first time they played the entire album in an evening (not in order).  Sure Ed wasn't there, but I heard them play with Ed at PJ20.  Good times!

Would love to see official bootlegs too but if hasn't happened by now doubt we'll ever see them.
Imagine it would be a little tricky w/ licensing when you factor in Wood estate, Cornell estate, and all the covers they played those shows.

There was a Canadian film company that recorded the MSG show.  I don't recall which night.  No one has heard what happened with that.  Surely this absence of information and release has something to do with the disputes between Cornell's widow and SG.  I would guess that extended to TOTD too.  I think at some point there will be some common ground (when someone needs the money more) and there will be some material released.  Who knows when that will be.
  • Soo funny. Lithium was playing Say Hello to Heaven on Saturday and the host was like “what an amazing band, I don’t know how you get that many talented people together at one time to make a record like that”

or, it’s Pearl Jam plus 1. Which would have been cooler to say to anyone that isn’t familiar with TOTD

In fairness, at the time it was 3 and 2, not 4+1.

They could just release a complication of only Temple of the Dog songs from their 2016 tour. The Cornell estate would be the hardest to past.
