Soon it will be summertime
my favorite time
(May through August)
the most flexible time of my year
here it's truly sweltering (yes)
but I still cherish the open days
at least I can swim and be outside
I have time to live a life in the summer...
unlike the fall, spring, and winter,
it's more than working and sleeping!

how lucky I am to have summers again
like a child, I have time to play
