    I know. It wouldn't be so much an opening act as a double show...maybe in Charlotte:) I haven't been this impressed with a band since PJ hooked me some time long long ago. Feels good, feels right, feels real. Saw them again in Clemson the other nite, such a freaking blast----the authenticity just reminds of PJ in so many ways.

    lol, good one. I've been referring to them as "southern grunge"....i like "grungegrass"...i'm going to use that one too:)

    I knew some quality stuff would come back round...who would have ever thought it would be utilized in folk/bluegrass form?

    Seeing as this is a "fill in the blank" thread...

    If Avett Brothers Opened for PJ...I'd be pissed. "Adult Alternative" grosses me out.

    I mean what I say (I don't care for Avett Brothers), but I say it lightheartedly. If enough people would be pumped for it, that means the crowds for PJ would be electric and fun. :)

    You certainly have a right to your opinion but have you seen them perform live? If not, give it a try...you may think differently.

    . . . they would most definitely upstage Pearl Jam. Their live show is a tremendously amazing experience -- I haven't seen any band in recent history give it the way they do, and their audiences go nuts in a way that a PJ audience just doesn't anymore. I love the grown men from Seattle, trust me -- no slam on PJ -- but the younger Avett Brothers bring a passion to their live performance that right now is unmatched in the music industry.
