and that is my point if one of us commoners starts a thread they will reword the title and put it in the redboxed section, which is pretty lame so that is why I ignore all redbox threads, they are pretty much a joke, and the whole way they determine what is a redbox thread is total elitism, and I would encourage others in this form to boycott redbox threads, until they re-determine the way they pick what is a redbox thread

I don't like it. But that's just me.

absolutely, you are free to go through the redboxed threads or not, I could care less, I choose not to for reasons previously stated, it is a moral issue to me, I believe in equal opportunity, and if you disagree that is totally cool, everyone should feel free to feel however the want, but I don't say shit hoping that people will like me for it, I say shit because that is how I feel, hate on me if you want, but I always keep it real, I do the same thing in real life, so no I am not one of these people hiding behind a computer, I am on here because I like Pearl Jam and want to talk to other people who also like Pearl Jam, my happiness comes from within not by anyone's critique in some online forum

Along with "Moonlander," Gossard is busy working with the rest of Pearl Jam readying the band's newest album. He says the band has a number of tracks well on their way and expects to release it later in 2013.

Gossard remains humble and grateful, both for the longevity of the band and the opportunities its ongoing success continues to afford.

"It's just such a rarity and we now realize how important those old relationships are," he says. "The comfort you get from having this family for so long that you can make music with and then trust you enough that you get to make music on your own and do your own thing too. It's having your cake and eating it too because everybody can go out and still explore the world."

    thanks bud!

How I feel about this song is also how I feel about Mankind and Bayleaf.

I'm actually kind of shocked how much I like the song Moonlander. It's got a Bowie vibe to it. Anyone else hear that? I really think it's great!

Pretty cool stuff. Especially considering Mankind is Pearl Jam's worst song (sorry Stone).

while Mankind is far from their best song, Sweet Lew is the worst Pearl Jam song ever and it is at least better than Ole and Johnny Guitar and Aye Davanita, but I do agree about Moonlander, hopefully the record is more along those lines and not the first single that was promo'd on here

here lets relive how awful Sweet Lew is, the only low light from the last night at the Spectrum, sorry Jeff

First off, I don't count Ole because in my universe it doesn't exist. It's too painful so I block it out. Never happened.

Next, I wasn't including the colorful stuff like Aye Davanita or Red Dot because well, just because. And of course I'm not talking bsides or any lost dogs stuff. Strictly songs from albums and songs that are song songs. The word "song" has suddenly struck me as very odd. What a weird fucking word. I feel like Tommy Boy right now..."roaaaads"...

Anyway, I hear you about Johnny Guitar. You may be right.

In conclusion, I really like the song Moonlander. I think it's brave and actually succeeds.

Now I have to disagree. Not a great song but I love the performance and what the rest of the band is doing. Especially Ed with the bass drum/basketball and Boom's tinkling. I was at the show and thought it was a blast.

Jeff's missed notes on it make me cringe, but if I was at the concert and had some adult beverages and possibly other stuff with the party that was going on, well, ah hell I may of enjoyed it too
