Random I know, but I'd like to get one and don't want to get screwed, does anyone know any details I should look for other then the the matrix code? From what I understand it was released by accident, anyone know anything more? I'd really appreciate the help!

Thanks :)

Okay, you've lost me completely. Is there another mix other than the Steve Albini one?

In Utero was mispressed in 2003 using the original unaltered Steve Albini mix which sounds much different than the regular version.

I have downloaded this mix and honestly there's not a huge difference. So if its not that important don't waste alot of $

In utero was recorded differently with mics hanging from the ceiling to capture the recording. So even a different mix won't change the sound that much.

    Just a heads up.

I say continue enjoying the hell out of the final product.

Download it first and have a listen, as they are pretty similar. Some songs have a more "rough" sound but others I cannot really tell if there's any difference.

Thanks guys.. I think it sounds much better!! Does anyone know how many were pressed incorrectly? This was the way Kurt wanted it originally, the record company imposed different mixes for the final product
