    while I wouldn't say mindblowing, they were REALLY good opening for the Hip when I saw them. very throwback...good presence and energy. They covered a Neil Young song and have that song about the campfire not lasting forever because "the Hip only have so many songs", so they are showing their respect to the right Canadian mentors. I see the Arkells as one of the cornerstones of the future of rock in Canada since that show for sure. They had it.

    They actually did open for Pearl Jam in 2009 at the Virgin Festival in Calgary. Great band! The tune that Restlesssoul is talking about is called "Kiss Cam" from their 2011 album Michigan Left. Brilliant song:
