Am in NYC this weekend and was going to take a viyl browse. Using the RSD site as a guide but quite a few stores on there. Any personal recommendations would be welcome.

Thanks

Bleecker Street is good; if it matters, EV went there when he was in town.
  • I thought Bleeker Street was being closed/forced out of business due to sky high rent. Are they still there? Could have sworn I saw a doc on it saying it was going to be replaced by a frozen yogurt chain.

    It's actually both... http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2013/01/16/ ... rent-hike/

I haven't made it down to the village in quite a while so I can't confirm. The article links to the two stores' websites, so I'd give a call before heading over.

Second Generation Records. While you're there, walk over a block over to Third Rail Coffee.

I also like Other Music but they are small. Good for a quick stop and the people who work there are lovely.

Thanks all. Ended up in Rebel Rebel and picked up some vinyl boots. Nothing special, 5 Alive, Self Pollution Radio and Eddie Sings the Blues. Also got Temple of the Dog. Happy enough.

    Thanks again.
