  • Well, I've been here for a while, but was obviously saving my first post for my first show's review.
The band was absolutely awesome, and the sound was amazing!
I couldn't really enjoy the first 3 songs, though, because the crowd was really wild, pushing and pulling all the time, and I could barely move, but thankfully they soon seemed to settle down, and we could all just have fun, and jump and sing happily for the rest of the show.
I absolutelly loved the mix of songs, and the crowd singing, and the fact that the guys looked so happy.
We got some surprises from Ten, and Not for You, which was stunning. And SONIC REDUCER!!!!
Oh, and the It's Ok tag in Spanish... I didn't think I would get to hear it, especially when they had just done it in Argentina.
I loved that we also got to sing Mike's Happy Birthday, and some guys in the front could even taste a bit of the cake that Jeff smashed on Mike's head. It was hilarious!
Of course, Present Tense after that was just the icing on the (smashed) cake!
It's hard to express this in words, but all the great music, along with Ed's words and the band-crowd energy made up for a very very special night for all of us, for sure.
For me, it was healing, and precious, and overwhelming, since I couldn't make to the previous show in 2011 and felt some kind of vacuum ever since, like I was lacking something. Well, now I know what it was, and I'm so, so thrilled to have it :)
Thank you, PJ, for this, and for always making me wanna be a better person!

I was up close for Queens of the Stone Age and tried to hustle over to try to not be in the back, but it was impossible. It was crushing and constricting, I agree. I ended up in the back, but I enjoyed watching 70,000 fans AND Pearl Jam. :)

There is no doubt who people came to see. Yea, they liked The Hives, and they REALLY liked QOTSA, but this was a Pearl Jam crowd. T hough I watched the show with a Chilean woman who wasn't a big fan, she came with her friend who wanted to be down low and it was too much for her. We struggled to communicate with my inability to speak much spanish and her inability to speak much english. Thank god for google translate. :)

Making new friends through music, another reason to travel to see the boys.

Was a great show, you really can't say enough about Mike. Never seen him better.

After the shows was over, I watched the ACDC Live at River Plate DVD: on the bonus features there was a radio show whose comentators were inteviewing some ACDC fans for the documentary, to show the world how Argentine ACDC fans were and look like. Some dude took a loan from the bank just to follow ACDC all over Europe. One of the comentaros said: "at last, someone takes a loan for something worthwhile". Not many things are worthwhile, if you have the chance, don't miss it and attend to wrigley...

I love that they are doing the Not For You / Modern Girl combo. ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES. Really these 2 go so well together, and I'm glad it's back. Hope to hear this at Wrigley or in the fall. Can't wait for some North America shows.
There's no need to say goodbye
  • I'm replying in English because most of the posts around here are in that Language.

I'm embarrassed of these kind of posts to be honest. Not only because Im argentinian, but because saying that my country (or that any country) has a 3rd world view and that because of that we are doomed it's just awful and speaks even more heavily about whoever wrote that and thinks alike.

I've travelled to Brazil in 2011 to see these 5 guys in the 5 shows over there, even though Im argentinian I was received with arms open, always someone looking after me, making sure I was ok... and I felt so fucking proud of being a 10clubber and having such nice people around. Simply because the whole union was only being fans of this band, and they took care of me as family.

So, even though Im incredibly proud of how faithfull argentinian fans are (and you can see that in the post it was dedicated as a header in this website to us as fans), I honestly hate to think we have to be divided by such stupid reasons as "chile sounded louder"
wtf.. are you some kind of audio engineer who can measure up the audio levels and hence bear the truth of who is a better fan?

I despise this kind of attitudes, the 10club is a family, does not matter where we were born.

Hugs to everyone from an Argie girl

Well, im speechless to tell you how great was the show in lollapalooza chile 2013. I think that was the best sound i ever heard at the three times the guys plays in Chile. In my humble opinion this was the best show of all festival, the energy spread from eddie to the people was amazing, the band seem so many involved whit their crowd, and that makes the magic appear. I agree whit the argentinian brother who says WTF who was the best crowd. The only thing important is have the oportunity to enjoy a moment in our lifes whit the one of the greatest band in the rock history, that was amazing. This music help us every day in differents circuntances and see this live is priceless.

I lived one of the most beautifull days in my life, joined the band whit my wife and my two sons (4 & 15), tnaks for this great show and i hope have another opportunity to see my favorite band again.

Saludos desde el fin del mundo¡¡¡¡¡¡
