A PJ Fan Who Needs some Prayer

Its with love that I write something for a friend of mine named Rick Stewart in Charlotte, NC. I'm writing this for him because he cannot. Rick has Cystic Fibrosis and is trying to fight this disease at the age 42. I know whats your thinking, "42"? Yeah, amazing isn't it. He wasn't suppose to live past thirty, but this guy is still "Alive". Oh yeah, Rick is a huge Pearl Jam fan. I played a live Boston show from on my phone at his hospital bed side while he had a tube in his mouth. Duke medical center says they can't give him a lung transplant, because on top of it all, he has Hepatitis to boot. Rick is one of the most amazing guys I know. He has never really complained about his disease. I've known him for 20 years and he has always conducted himself no different than you or I. Hell, I just took him to Eddie's solo show in Jacksonville, FL and he loved it. Pearl Jam was always something Rick and I could enjoy and rock out to. Rick can't be on a ventilator much longer and his family has to make a decision. I just thought his favorite band should know. Rock in the free world and for Rick.

4/11/2013 Update: Thank you guys for all the prayers and the love thrown this way. Unfortunately, Rick passed away yesterday, April 10th at 4:21pm, he went peacefully. I had to go home drink a beer and listen to "Long Road" in Rick's honor. I'm amazed at the strength of this fan club and how its members care so much about each other. You guys Rock!!!!
