If so, read this: http://www.orioleshangout.com/article/4 ... es-win-9-5

Yes,it's a shameless plug for my son's article on orioleshangout.com. He just got this gig (has covered three games so far), and I'm hoping that lots of people start reading it (and commenting on it) so that the editors keep him on.

He's also a big Pearl Jam fan. Orioles, Pearl Jam, and the Pittsburgh Penguins (although we never lived anywhere near Pittsurgh -- he's just always loved that team).

Enjoy!

Here's evidence of his Pearl Jam cred: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wpwwirHN9k0

That's him playing lead guitar on Yellow Ledbetter at a battle of the bands in 2001 -- when he was 17. I do not take responsibility for the outfit that he was wearing, but he did get his love of Pearl Jam from me!

I liked your blog, even if it's primarily about the Yankees (hey -- I'm from Baltimore -- what can I say? Although, some of my best friends are Yankees fans -- really!).

If you're one of those Yankee fans who like to take over Camden Yards when the Yankees are in town, maybe you can meet up with my son before/after the game. I know he'd love to hear about your years sitting in the press box. What a dream job!

Here's another link for a blog that my son wrote in 2010, which was a very bad year for the O's. His plan (developed before the season started) was that he was going to whip himself into shape by walking 4.5 miles to work with every Oriole loss. Little did he know how much they were going to lose that year! http://theoriolesplan.blogspot.com/
