she pushed back against him
sending tremors of anxiety coursing through his veins
an exaggerated sigh
escaped his throat
as he tried desperately to disconnect
for fear that he would be led to the slaughter
yet one more time….

fighting every urge to pull her even closer
he rolled over
feeling his heart beat in places that,…..
he closed his eyes
wishing for the courage to make it right
wishing he could make her feel, to see,
but she still had clouds behind her eyes.

I have been married for over 20 years and in the last years I have decided that nobody can hurt me except me,
and that goes beyond my mariage just life in general and when there is discomfort in my life I try to adjust or just eleminate the sorce from my life or thoughts,I like to treat people the way I would like to be treated and if that don't work I move on because life is just way too short.
