Anyone catch the stream last night? I don't even know who played last night. I was out :(
I didn't watch it either, but bands that were streamed included Queens of the Stone Age, The Killers and Nine inch Nails.
NIN as always, brought their A game. I'm never anything but wonderfully, fabulously destroyed by a NIN show. It is one of the best experiences in the world, like standing in front of a jet engine that smashes you back into a wall, and they still have it. They played a couple new songs, and a track off the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo soundtrack, as well as reworking Hurt.
As someone else said though, I feel like I'm aging out of going to Lolla - this was my 4th in 7 years; not because of the music at all, but because of what a music festival is like these days - there would have to be an unbelievable lineup for me to go again. There were 100K people per day, which made the logistics of getting around interesting. It also seems like there's a lot of people there more to just drink, show off their outfits and take pics for facebook rather than really listening to and enjoying the music. The exception was Perry's stage where it was all EDM all the time. I went over there for a while as I like EDM and the crowd was packed and hopping.
Caught an up and coming guy called Jake Bugg - I think he will continue to grow. And Alex Clare I liked. I've never really liked QOTSA live, but I still like some of their studio material.

I'm no expert, but have to wonder out loud if this is the worst headlining lineup in the history of the festival...
Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
2011 is what I'm thinking of. Last years was terrible too. This years is worse. Even Outkast can't save this years.
I don't think Outkast will be on the bill. They are headlining Summerfest up the road in Milwaukee in July. I still think KOL are the only mentioned band that will receive a headline slot so far. PJ is in for sure......
