What do you mean, "ugly"? If you mean the ones with the ridges, they are called Gezahnte. They are a paste tomato. The big one that I sliced is my favorite this year, an Ananas Noire. The little orange and red ones are Sunrise bumblebee and very tasty, and so are the longish green ones, I forgot what they are called. Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue! http://community.pearljam.com/discussion/148993/please-pearl-jam-consider-a-vinyl-benaroya-hall-re-issue0

My thoughts exactly! I've been spending way too much time with my vegetables

This season i grew 'hot lemon peppers'. First one finally turned yellow and had a tiny sliver. Fantastic heat bursting with fruity flavors. Like nothing I've ever eaten. Happy I tried them. The rest are still green. Ate a few green ones, but you really need to let them turn yellow for that killer flavor.
Chopped up the one and put in a marinade for chicken.Post edited by Loujoe on0

It will taste better than anything you can buy in a store too cause you let it ripen.Loujoe said:This season i grew 'hot lemon peppers'. First one finally turned yellow and had a tiny sliver. Gently noticeable. Not frighteningly hot which is good.tempo_n_groove said:

Yes! I'd hit it a little harder with the chilies. I did lime juice, oil, salt, cracked pepper, garlic, a little balsamic. Marinated it overnight. Loaded it up with herbs and some butter before roasting. Only ate a wing so far.0

Hot lemon pepper. Threw that bad boy on a quesodillia & my head is spinning. Fire+flavor. See how my insides handle it. A solid ancho poblano too. Hot lemon pepper. more turnips + beets. There is a critter starting to enjoy my beets so I decided to harvest a lot. Left a lot of turnips but still harvested lots too. Trying to get them before they all get snacked on by the vole or whatever. more turnips + beets. There is a critter starting to enjoy my beets so I decided to harvest a lot.
