Funny how it worked out.
For the last 3 months, I have been working at a new account.
I had NO IDEA that the company whose freight I am hauling, had Good Friday off.
When I found out, I called my company to ask, "Now What?"
My comapany could have found PLENTY for me to do today, its the end of the month, and we are busy.
Instead my company said, "Enjoy your 3 day weekend!"

That's awesome for you! Since living out here I haven't found too many places that actually shut down for Good Friday. Back home, that is customary. It would be a damn sin if you were open on Good Friday. Here, the complete opposite.

My dad went back in to the Hospital Wednesday. Chest pains, shoulder pain, tingling in the arm. We were happy to hear they said he did not have a heart attack. Yesterday they ran a ton of tests, so today I will pick up mom, and head over to the hospital. I have talked to my dad a few times the last couple of days, and he actually sounds pretty good. So, we will see what today brings.

So it's a blessing that your client had closed today and you had the day off. I'll keep your family in my prayers today. And that the dr gives you all some kind of news today regarding your Dad.

Last Saturday dear ole dad tells me he is not going to have that procedure done. The one where they go through the leg, to the heart, with the camera. He tells me he is NOT going to do it.

3 days later he is in the Emergency Room.

Hey dad? You might want to reconsider!

Holy hell!!! I'd think he'd change his mind after landing up in the ER. Or have the dr make that decision for him in his best interest.

Depends on where you work. Back when I worked retail, I always had to work Easter. In my entire life, I have never been given Good Friday or Easter Monday off.

I know on the east coast, most folks get MLK day off...the Westies just work thru it.
