This is why we should not have a Death Penalty. Had this been in Texas, the executions would have been done a long time ago.

That's certainly one of the reason, yes.

    Wow.. We'll see.
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)
  • Its Hobbs, i highly doubt its any of the other 3. We have 3 witnesses saying they saw the 3 boys with him that day. hes long held that he never saw his stepson or the other 2 boys that day. We have his own alibi witness saying Hobbs timeline is faulty, and that he too saw the 3 boys with Terry that day. We have at least 10 plus hours of Terry's deposition, video taped interviews with police and attorneys, anyone watching it can tell the guy is a liar. We have Hobbs admitting he was in and out of the woods all that day. We have Hobbs continually trying to attach an alibi for himself, including suggesting he was with people that day that he wasnt-see officer meeks. We have 4 members of Hobbs own family saying he confessed to the crime. Hobbs ex-wife Pam is convinced he did it. And we have a theory, the manhole theory, that matches up abrasions on the 3 kids bodies to pavement surfaces of a manhole.

He did it. The defense though seems to be taking its sweet time, I guess in hopes that they gather EVERYTHING they can before presenting it for trial.

The degraded blood found in terry;s car and van seems the defense's focus right now, which probably isnt the path to take, since that blood after 15-20 years wouldnt stand up in court. The manhole theory though, is much stronger.
  • those other 3 suspects make no sense. Hobbs did it, but Pam is just going down a wrong path here

What did Texas do in the WM3 case again? I have no records that they were even involved.

I keep deleting this. But I'm Tired. Seriously, What did TEXAS do?

Did Texas arrest them, Did Texas put them on trial?, Did Texas Judge them?

and I'll probably delete this later.

If I was more awake I would give you hundreds of links to places you need to read.

Haven't you heard. "Don't mess with Texas". WE need all the facts before execution. Texas executes death row to make room for more idiots and the save tax paying people money. How much money is spent keeping Scott Peterson and Charles Manson alive? (we all know they are innocent and don't deserve a penalty)

READ this before you post a come back. Take the time. Research it

Read the facts. I wrote something. :fp:

Staysea... you seem to have gotten all bent out of shape over Cosmo's comment.

I'm speaking for him, but the comment was made in jest without any seriousness to it. You shouldn't lose another moment thinking about it.

Absolutely!! Unless a justice system is infallible (which is impossible), there should be no capital punishment.

All of you are right. I over react to this every time. Sorry.

I just think Texas is always exploited. Some people actually think I ride a horse to work. (It's still a Law here, If you steal my horse, I have a legal right to hang you with out a trial) ;)

I always remind myself, that it matters how you live your life. It's not how people treat you or how you are judged by society.

We all meet our maker in the end. They, He, She or It .. has final and ultimate judgement. Can you argue that. Is that a flawed system.

I know where I'm going to be burning.

This is so dull and boring, my apologies if you have read this.

It was simply a statement that points out the fact that TX is quicker executing people who are death row, and, therefore, had the west Memphis 3 been wrongfully convicted in TX the one who was on death row would have been wrongfully killed before they got out of prison, which further demostrates wby capital punishment shpuld not exist (because it cleay DOES leave the door open for innocent people being murdered by the state. I don't understand why you took great offense to this. It was not a slam on TX - it was a slam on capital punishment (at which TX is very efficient).
Seriously friendly advice for the AMT: don't take it so personally!!

There is a bit of info on the WM3 site about this...

I really hope that one day they convict the scum responsible for the murders.

  • to get back to the actual issue, the evidence connecting Hobbs to the murders is overwhelming. The evidence connecting the other 3 to the crime is

Again, Pam is on our side, She wants this crime solved. But this is a dead end sadly. They need to focus on the manhole theory, and focus on Hobbs and the connection and evidence therein. The other 3 there is absolutely no evidence at all.

Do people only give a shit about this case because Eddie Vedder cares about this case?

There are thousands of kids who are murdered every year without convictions and I don't see any threads about that.

I think that's why it gets the attention here. I learned about this case as a 15 year old watching the same doc eddie watched to learn about it. I think it captures people because it's such an obvious injustice. My first purchase with a credit card was to send Damien a book, and that's not because eddie was on board. For me it was cool that this cause overlapped with a case I've been very close to for half my life. I cried when they got out. It felt like the money I gave every year did something.

No...I saw the Paradise Lost documentaries on the crime channel several years ago and read about the case online and read the Devil's Knot book on the case.

I didn't find out about the case because of Eddie. I was a casual fan of PJ and saw them in 2003, then after seeing Ed's solo show in 2011, PJ has been my favourite band ever since.

I've been watching true crime documentaries for many years now.
