Anybody see Aaron Lewis on his current tour? I love Stained but don't want to go see him if he is doing to doing all of his country crap.

I would have to advise against seeing him. This is coming from a huge Staind fan who has seen Aaron solo numerous times pre-country. He used to just play mostly 90 covers and Staind songs but not anymore. My friend who hasn't given up just went to a show. Aaron has an entire new back up band that from what my friend said are not very good. Aaron's voice is still sick but the genre is completely different. I understand why he's doing it as he needs to make a name for himself and country music has a huge fan base. That being said let's hope for some Staind shows at Mike Mushok is a beast on the guitar.

You tried to be a pain on my thread.

But now you admit you like this Aaron Lewis guy?!:lol: The American idol guy?

Dude, that is funny. You made me smile. SWEETNESS.:lol:

(I know I get him and him confused, but they are twins to me. That's how much I listen)

American Idol? I don't get it, was he on American Idol for something? I dont watch American Idol so I dont know if you are joking. :)

I have been a big Staind fan forever and love acoustic rock a la MTV Unplugged, so I really wanted to go see his acoustic show but all this country crap he is trying now pisses me off. It just seems so contrived and fake. Hes wearing camo trucker hats and sitting in a pickup with confederate flag and singing about the most cliched country lyrics. I just lost all respect for him. He went from an artist to con man in my opinion.

I worked with a guy who is big into modern country and he mentioned that he liked Aaron Lewis and I was like, really?? He had no idea who Staind even was. I played some old heavy ass Staind song with Aaron just growling and screaming. I said, do you like that, he said not really. I said thats Aaron Lewis. He didnt believe me.

Oh my god, you did not just compare him to Daughtry?! Staind did mellow out quite a bit in their last few albums prior to the most recent one where they came back to form.

No, don't go out of your way. :) Anyway, I still like a lot of the Staind stuff and the acoustic Aaron stuff, pre country.

There are plenty of great guitarists that don't play like Mike McCready...

There are plenty of great drummers that don't play like John Bonham...

There are plenty of great bassists that don't play like Victor Wooten or Jaco Pastorius...
