Huge, huge fan. Been listening to him since his first album came out, really cool to follow the progression of his albums as I've grown up as well. Saw him twice in 2010 and plan to see him this summer. Incredible musician who puts on a fantastic show!

This has to be one of my favorite things John's ever done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6OxE1p_YKOI

Sure you probably know this already but John is a big fan of PJ. I grew up with him in CT and we almost wore out Vs and Vitalogy driving around town. "Nothingman" is the song I remember singing along with the most. If you listen to some of his early work in a band called "Villanova Junction" (high school band), some people tend to think he was going for a Eddie sound.

He's covered Yellow Ledbetter, did it at a show in the early 2000s in Virginia.

One night back in like 2004 or 2005, he sent me a text in the middle of the night saying that he was listening to No Code and just how great an album it was.

I think you could really make something work having John open on Eddie's solo tour, think it would surprise a lot of people and be very cool.

Yep, I do. Known him since we were about 13 years old so I've been fortunate to kind of be along for the ride as his career got bigger and bigger. I've spent some time on tour with him over the years so know a lot of people in his band, crew, management, etc. Really a great group of people.

Been a tough few years I think but happy that he'll have a chance to get back out on stage this summer.

The Trio album and tour was one of the highlights of his career in my opinion (if not THE highlight). Those shows were just ridiculous, as good as you could imagine.

although he hasn't been out singing (or even talking for that matter) for the past 3 or so years, that just means he's been getting better on the Geetar...bonus for everybody

    a great musican..

I use to burn those mixtapes to my dad, he is 65 years old. The other day I put few John Mayer songs on one. He loved it, so burnt few of his cds to him :)

I've loved him since he moved on from his pop star phase. The John Mayer Trio was a very welcome change of pace. He's a major talent.

He reminds me of Clapton - a hell of a guitar player, I just can't stand the pop songs they put out.
