Tool limited edition of Opiate availabe today

Not sure if there are any Tool fans or people that like collectable stuff, but Tool is selling 5000 copies of their first album in 5 different versions (1000 each). It's autographed by the band too.

It's expensive at 150 a piece, but for some stupid reason people are paying more on ebay. :lol:

I'm not sure how long they will be available since it's limited supply.

    I just tried version 1 and it worked from my computer but not my phone.

    same here. I went on Tool's facebook page, venting about how shitty this is to fans. All these Tool meatheads and there are a lot of them if you've ever seen them live, defending a reissue 1 CD + new artwork for the same price as PJ released Vs./Vitalogy vinyl HUGE box set 2 years ago...and 7 years since the last Tool album?? Maynard obviously has more priorities in life now than Tool...if there is a new album, who knows if it will ever be out...

I was really hoping for a vinyl reissue, so I lost all interest when it was just a CD, and then when the price came out... :fp:

    To be honest, I was hoping for vinyl too.

    On the bright side, I bought two and shipping was only $5.

    you must have seen the appeal at one point, since the poster unsigned at the show was $80 cheaper than the one you bought. :lol:

    Looks like version 2 and 5 are still available.

    People have been posting that the web site is messed up and others have had trouble placing orders. I guess you have to do it just right. I know I had to enter in my information a couple of times before it really went through.

    The website was clearly messed.

    You should know that I am in the process of trying to reverse charges for... oh... say 20 copies that have already gone through on my credit card. Geez man.

    I never got to the confirmed page- I always received the error symbol and had to refill some fields... hit submit again... and so on... and so on... and then finally gave up. I checked after the first time I hit submit to see if I had gotten a confirmation email that normally is fired to you the second you make an online purchase and hadn't. I still don't have a confirmation.

    You said you did it a few times... I bet you got a few copies.

    That sucks!!!!

    Thank god it didn't happen to PJ or this board would be on fire. I was only charged for the two I ordered. Some people are saying they've been charged up to 2 grand. I believe these are all holds and should clear up in a few days but it sucks so many people got such a bad experience over this.

    Again, thank god it didn't happen on this site.
