Hey Everyone!
I know what a big part you guys are of my youtube channel. I get a lot of views from here, and in turn learn about a lot of great tunes from here. I have some awesome news and big plans.
I have created a SHOW. I toyed with the format, interviewed my first bands, producers and record label owners and I am super proud to unveil to the youtube world my idea.
I literally took this thing off private 5 minutes ago and you guys are getting it first.
I love all the great comments I read on here and the support is fantastic.
Anyways, it's been exciting coming up with this the last 3 weeks, without further ado,
Episode 1 of In It To Spin It.

Totally open to feedback, too. I know the interview runs long on this one, but I love these guys, they are my friends and I believe in their catchy tunes....Future episodes will have a 6 minute cap on interviews. ENJOY!

great job! Looking forward to future episodes
^^^THANK YOU MY FRIEND!!^^^
After 24 hours, the episode has been well received, I think. So the nervousness has subsided. Even got recognized at a gig last night!
Anyways, each week I will post the new episode in this thread.
What kind of camera are you using? If you have the ability to hook up an external mic, try exploring the idea. Your audio sounds great, but with an external mic, say a shotgun mic pointed at you while talking you could put a windscreen on it and get even clearer audio for the outside segments and not have to worry about wind so much.
Just a suggestion, it didn't affect the awesomeness of the first episode.
I've got some video production and editing experience. Let me know if I can ever be of service to you in any way.
6/12/08 - Tampa, FL
8/23/09 - Chicago, IL
9/28/09 - Salt Lake City, UT (11 years too long!!!)
9/03/11 - East Troy, WI - PJ20 - Night 1

ya, that wind was a bitch. i could be safe and shoot it in my house, but i like the outdoor feel for the vids. I was trying to do takes between gusts of wind. thanks for the tips. I am looking into new camera and mic possibly, not gonna go nuts, but yeah, might upgrade a little. good luck in the Robin Trower sweepstakes, hahah. as of now, you got a 1 in 6 chance!
stay tuned.
I actually already have a copy of it, granted it's not new, but it is a record that my dad used to spin. Please remove me and give others a better chance.
Perhaps a lavalier mic would be ideal for you. and I agree, the outdoor segments are nice. I really liked the shot that you had because you had the skyline behind you. Videography is a lot of fun, and editing is too (in my opinion, some people can't stand it).
Excellent work for such a beginning and DIY project. Seriously can't wait to watch more.

ok, thanks for being honest, I will strike thee from the contest. Lavalier mic, huh. I will check that out. I have watched a million movies and studied them a little in college, so I have a basic sense of a good setting. That place is very close to me, along with many other easy to get to gorgeous places that will hopefully get used all summer long.

I like the choppy DIY vibe of the show.
thanks for the feedback. I'm gonna leave the intro....35 seconds or whatever it is each week wont hurt. I like everything in there.
