I saw Springsteen on Wednesday night...

...at Allphones Arena in Sydney. Stevie Van Zandt didn't make it due to filming committments, so TOM MORELLO was his replacement!!! Well, fuck me sideways, this was one of the best concerts I have EVER seen! He loves what he does, it keeps him young! Just over 3 hours on stage (didn't leave the stage for the encore). And he gave Tom Morello room to breath and really make his mark! Amazing! Tom doing his scratching solos over some Springsteen classics really brought a new danger to the band! And they shared verses on The Ghost Of Tom Joad. He also crowd surfed across the crowd from the back to the front, no security! And I'm 31, not an old fart. The crowd was full-on for the entire 3 hours! No support act.

    Bruce is amazing live! Ya know I feel ashamed saying this, but I wasn't a big Bruce fan until I saw him live! It's amazing how live shows can draw you in. I've seen Bruce twice, and the shows were epic! I went out and got several of his albums after seeing him live. I knew the hits, but I am a fan after seeing him live, Holy shit! The band, the crowd, awesome. I felt the same vibe like at a PJ show. The band and fans connect, it's awesome. 8-)


    Glad you had a great time, that's a nice setlist too. 8-)

    first saw him in 78. the show changed me. almost 4 hours back then. only the grateful dead played shows that long as well. darkness tour mind blowing.

    Not to nit-pick, but, Bruce Springsteen wrote "Because The Night." Patti Smith recorded it and had a huge hit with it, but it's a Bruce tune.
