Gotta turntable - need vinyl...poster trade or cash

Hi. :)

I have wanted a turntable for so long; I finally got one. It's my Father-in-laws Sansui from the late 70's I think. I found it in the basement all dirty and without a needle. I bought a needle on ebay (hasn't arrived yet). So I cleaned it up and plugged it in and so far so good.

I have a few records...all the fan club singles that I never listened to once. I bought BackSpacer and picked up Ten about 5 years ago. So I need some records. Here's my wish list.

1. Riot Act
2. Pearl Jam
3. No Code
4. Yield
5. Binaural

I don't care if they are sealed at all because I don't want to spend out of control money.

I have a pretty good poster collection from 96, 98 and 00 plus some good EMEK's. If you want one I probably have it so let me know if you want to make some trades. I never traded before so help me out and bare with me please. Thanks!!

Amazon is solid. But I like Soundstagedirect and eBay as well. Just be patient on eBay and you can get some great deals.

I use amazon a ton. Some have had shipping/packing issues - knock on wood- I haven't had any issues.

I use amoeba records some too. Join their mailing list and you'll receive a 15% off coupon from time to time. Also, they have free Stateside shipping

    Enjoy.

My ideal situation would be to trade all of them with perfect vinyl and even no sleeves. Because I just am dying to hear these on vinyl, ya know? I think a great trade could be made in this scenario.

Take your time on the PJ vinyl.. They will come and if you've got some '98's and EMEKS they will probably come fairly quick here.. If I had the spares this would be a pm and your trading experience would be pure bliss ;)

But in the meantime, all the sites recommended so far are solid. Also check out shopradiocast.com (great music, great prices, and all the fixings to boot) Discogs.com for private sellers, elusive disc.com, popmarket.com is a must. I think they currently dropped the ten Vs Vitalogy deal again, and for used bulk vinyl on the cheap go to usedrecordsandmore.com <<<< This, you will have a fucking field day with! And can trust that EVERYTHING he sells is as described and ships very well protected and quick! I pick up stuff from Adam damn near every payday. For $50 you can get 40 lps

Insound.com for new stuff. Quick, reasonable shipping, fantastic customer service. Also have lots of sales, just subscribe for their weekly emails (won't inundate you).

Discogs always great and people price reasonably. Waaaay better than dropping a load on eBay. Always check Discogs first.

Depending on where you live, get yourself to Princeton record exchange!

As far as online shops go, it depends what you're looking to get. I love polyvinyl, but I also love much of the music they offer -- and it's cheap if you're into their indie catalog.

    Oh: PM sent.

Another online resource recommendation is gohastings.com.

They are a frequent vendor/seller on Amazon, but when you purchase directly from their site you only pay one shipping cost (which can get very pricey with vinyl). Best of luck to you!

Sub Pop. They have great customer service and are priced really fairly. I recently bought Mudhoneys Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge It was supposed to be a purplish vinyl and when I got it the vinyl was black. I emailed Sub Pop and they corrected it put the right vinyl in the mail and now I have an extra. Not sure what to do with it. It still has the download code for the mp3.

Also and this is surprising F.Y.E has vinyl on their web site as well. Some of it is pricey but it's a good selection of stuff.

agree with all of the above sites as well. Also check BestBuy.com, believe it or not. They're running another sale now, I think. just search for "Vinyl" I've had great luck with them. Gotta catch them at the right time & you'll make a killing.
