He was on Fallon every night this week and that man is no doubt, a solid performer. History of Rap 4 last night was hilarious.

sorry but he is a pretender. i think this new album is weak. just a lot of hype and promotion. very little substance.
  • personally i think its an amazing album. In terms of pop music, or commercial music, very few other artists are creating stuff like this in terms of scope or vision.

lots of artists have hype and promotion and deserve it. Or their albums are just EVENTS. Radiohead for example. Justin's last 2 albums were beloved. He's been gone 7 years, so makes sense people would be excited

The album is fascinating. 12 songs. 78 minutes. 8 of those songs are between 6 and 8 minutes each. This isnt just some slapped together project designed to make him money. Its expansive, experimental, and epic.
  • plus he's releasing a part 2 in november. 10 more tracks. So as I said this is hardly some pop product. Its meant as a work of art

my wife is a fan of his & i don't mind hearing his music when she plays it. from what i've heard, the new album sounds decent. still not my cup of tea, but the guy is talented.
    I LOVE MUSIC.

Yeah the album is very good. 2 weak tracks IMO, but Mirrors and That Girl are just killer tunes. Dude is pretty great.

Don't always like his stuff, but it's clear that he's super talented. I would love to catch him live, too bad his coming by NYC when I'll be in Chicago for Pearl Jam!

I love him. I think he's so extremely talented, much more so than most of the pop acts played alongside him on the radio. Still need to listen to 20/20 in full, but from what I've heard so far, I love Mirrors and Pusher Love Girl the best. Especially Mirrors...holy hell that song soars! Hope to see him and Jay-Z at Yankee Stadium in July! Will soften the blow of not seeing PJ at Wrigley just the teeniest bit :)

The second song he did on snl sure does have a better feel to it live than on the record. I was a little disappointed hearing the studio version

Haven't heard the album yet but as much as I used to give him shit.... This dude is an all around champ. He can basically do whatever he wants and make it good... It's pretty unreal.

I love me some JT! New album is really, really good. I have heard pretty much nothing but disappointment and poor reviews from reviewers so my expectations were not high at all. I will say I am happily surprised at how much I like it.

totally agree. this is an amazing album. To be gone 7 years and then put out something this good is remarkable. In terms of reviews Ive seen a fair bit of disappointed and bad reviews, but im also seeing alot of people saying its innovative and futuristic and just a great album, which it is.

I don't know much him or listen to his music but he is supposed to play Sun Life Stadium with Jay Z. I didn't know he was that big, I've only seen U2 that can sellout that huge stadium....wish them all the best but I don't see them selling out the place this August.

well he had 7 years ... I guess he should have been able to come up with something that HIS fans would like (which I'm not 1 of).
