C'mon NHL! this just aint right somehow. Kudos on finally moving my beloved Red Wings but something is seriously missing.. Could you imagine all original 6 teams in the same conference?? this would be nothing short of pure magic.. I can't wait to see Toronto and detroit square off old school, but I am going to fucking miss playing them 'Hawks!! or is this just Stanley cup drama?

Am I the only one?

    realignment is not perfect ... but overall its not bad. If you move Chicago then you got 17 teams in the East beside's i'm sure the western teams aren't happy about losing Detroit, especially Dallas and Phoenix, Detroit drew well out west. I doubt they'd want to lose Chicago as well. Still will get Chicago 2 times a year ... but gain so much more getting Toronto, Boston, Montreal multiple times a year ... this is a big win for Detroit. And come playoff time no more 10:30 starts ... gotta like that.

    Well, I would say keep Columbus in the west. They are used to being in the west and used to the travel.. New team gets shit on, but who cares..

    I always thought it would be cool if the NHL mixed it up every year or 2.

    All Canadian Division, All Original 6 Division, New Expansion, 67-70 Expansion, put all the teams in one giant division, random lottery divisions, etc

    I'm actually happy to see the West Central division split up. Competition for playoff spots between Detroit, Chicago, Nashville, and St. Louis has been brutal!!
