I haven't heard much Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers back catalogue except for the obvious ones... I know he did a killer version of 'Licence to Kill' (Dylan)' on Bob Dylan's 30th Anniversary show, but apart from that haven't heard much... Any suggestions? Which album? Songs?
I'm just flying around the other side of the world to say I love you

I highly recommend one of these:
Anthology: through the years (that is a greatest hits, and you will have heard the majority of songs on there).
Full Moon fever is a must have... Every song on this album is brilliant!
Damn the Torpeedos and Wildflowers are two other really good albums, get one of those with full moon. I would recommend wildflowers more, cause more songs, and the majority of torpedo (only had 9 songs) is probably on anthology.

  • actually, get the box set Playback- its killer and has all the odds and ends-the best stuff that never made the albums along with all the hits and bs

Let's not forget Traveling Wilbury's, Vol 1. He tends to play "Handle With Care" at concerts.
