American cheese is called "tasty cheese" in Australia. I guess it makes sense [will shrug] Definitely my least favorite of the cheeses
I'm not clear on what American cheese is... Is it processed cheese?? Like Kraft slices??

    Thanks.

I'd be ashamed if I was an American to have that cheese named after my nationality..... That said, it makes for a fairly tasty grilled cheese sandwich.

Not really. It's so ridiculously high in sodium... Only a few slices of it has your entire recommended daily intake of salt in it.

American cheese is nasty. I would say it qualifies as cheese as much as cheezwiz does. I just buy small blocks of cheddar and slide off pieces when I need it.
