Any fans of the Bacon Brothers Band here? I have just started listening to them and picked up tickets to their Boston show in May. For anyone who has seen them live I am curious about what to expect.

Saw them in Connecticut a number of years back. They stunk. And the Kevin Bacon novelty isn't very novel. Just my take.

I made a promise to myself that this was the year I was going to see more shows. So at the worst at least it will be a fun night out.

interested in hearing some replies as well. They are playing a really small venue in Harrisburg, PA in May. Could be sold out for all I know, but may try and check it out

Wow, what in unfortunate band name. In BC, the Bacon Brothers are these 3 notorious brothers who were (are?) the leaders of a major drug gang. One of them was recently assassinated in a hotel lobby, the other two are implicated in a bunch of murders and other crimes, one a mass murder with a high profile, all kinds of police corruption controversy came up from their trials, ... etc etc etc etc etc. One is currently in prison, the other surviving brother is out, unfortunately. So yeah... in these parts, there couldn't be a worse name for a band! I wonder if the band knows about these guys?

I saw them last summer, free show. They weren't bad, didn't know what to expect but came away overall satisfied. Kevin is actually a pretty decent singer and his brother plays guitar. They had a band behind them. I say give all music a chance (especially if they're free). And Kevin is looking good for being what, 60? He's in great shape.

Me and my mom watched Mystic River the other day, and I guess she hadn't seen Kevin Bacon in anything for a really long time - she went on and on about how much more handsome he is as he ages compared to what he used to look like. People who improve in the looks department as they age are lucky folks!
