Wow. I don't remember a thing from this show. The zepp tag in YL is pretty badass.

Was my first show, and it's the best version of In My Tree out there.
Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?

last show i went to on the first leg of the US tour.

sat near the soundboard, and got my first setlist from brett that night.

black wasn't on the setlist that night, but was played instead of soldier of love.
  • hindsight being 20/20, this would have been an awesome weekend. Travers ending at 6pm or so and then hopping over to SPAC for a 29-song setlist.

    Thanks for posting BBH!!!

Blast from the past! Been in the 10 club since '93-'94 and don't post much on the forum, but when I saw this I had to. I've been to 10 PJ shows and this might be my fav. Sonic Youth opened up and ripped, then the show just keeps going and getting better as it goes... When Mike ripped into LZ at the end, and didn't stop after a short riff, i thought they were all gonna come back out...

Anyway, awesome clip and looking forward to the next show in autumn if all holds true. For those of you looking for a boot, check this one out. For those going to Wrigley, enjoy!!!

    Best wishes all!

  • The long lost Saratoga 2000 poster.
    Well, sort of...
It always bummed me out a little that there was no official poster for my first PJ show at Saratoga, NY in 2000 so I decided to go ahead and make an unofficial one. I grew up in the capitol region so for all intents and purposes it was a show in my own backyard. I have posters for every other show we've been to and some... but the void of the 1st show has always kinda bothered me. For those who weren't at the show it was the day the inventor of the Lava Lamp died and Eddie shared some stoner-esq words about how the lava lamp resembled life. Thus the inspiration for the design.

Pearl Jam should make that into a poster and sell it here in the 10c  and make it a blacklight poster too
  • Stephen FlowStephen Flow Posts: 3,327
Seriously... I want that poster lol.
  • I was thinking the same thing about it being black light reactive. And I would gladly trade the design to the Ten Club for Seattle GA tix! ;)

Even without that I would be extremely honored if they wanted to retroactively make this the official poster. This show deserves one. I have a much higher quality file of it for large printing purposes.

I think it is an awesome idea to create posters for shows that did not have them, limited edition of 5,000 with 100 random signed by the artist, especially if they do cool stuff like glow in the dark or blacklight reactive posters they will have no problem selling them, and if some of the designs are inspired by 10c member that is even better
  • How about do it like they did for the vault. Have it up for pre-sale for a certain period of time and then print quantity to match the order's.

this was my 5th pj show ever, been to 39 now, this one was really good, kind of surprised they never played this venue again considering I think it holds 30,000 people

That always surprised me too but honestly I would rather seem them at Bethel Woods than SPAC now.
Bethel Woods has way better viewing from the lawn, better sound, much more comfortable. Not to mention the music history of the grounds.

It's in Bethel, NY which is on the outskirts of the Catskill region. Bethel Woods is on the same site where the Woodstock festival was in '69.
Seen many shows there, it is great!

I'd love for them to play some of the other venues in upstate NY... Bethel Woods would be amazing. Darien Lake Performing Arts Center would also be nice. I'm not the biggest fan of the Times Union Center but it's local and would be easy to go to for me. My dream is for them to play The Egg but the venue is so small it wouldn't be possible. The sound inside that place is magnificent... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Egg_%28building%29
