Swell Season had Daniel Johnston come out to do a beautiful version of DJ's 'Life In Vain'. Sorry if this has been posted before.

    I've never heard this w/ Glen and the kids choir, and damn near welled up...

    Yeah man, just stumbled upon that looking for a version of Daniel doing it live. Really beautiful and sad, as you said, especially with the choir. Have you seen The Devil and Daniel Johnston?

    Multiple times...made my music loving 11 yr old daughter watch it with me a few weeks ago.
    She was very saddened by his appearance (the weight, shakes, etc) but marvelled at out his voice still sounds so great. I'd love to see the music industry properly honor Daniel, somewhat how Glen did that night...would be terrific...
    Thanks for posting that link. I literally spent hours on youtube with a few beers looking for additional versions of "Life In Vain", 'Walking the Cow", "I Live My Broken Dreams", "True Love Will Find You In The End", etc...
