    I was lucky enough to see him live once in 2002 when he opened for the Headstones at the Ottawa Tulip Festival. So glad I go to see him while he was still with us. His name and music will always be synonymous with Canada. Dude was a legend.

    When Ed's solo tour came through Toronto I was close enough that when Ed started stopin' during Can't Keep (i do believe) that when he was done I had to let him know that he should be playing a Stompin' Tom tune just because of where he was. I know Ed knows music pretty well, but I don't think he knew of Tom. As the next night he played a hell of a lot of Neil tunes but no Stompin'.
