here's the guy that books all the bands at Summerfest. At 4 minutes in he talks about trying to get Pearl Jam this year and talks about other acts and reasons why they couldn't get them. Pretty cool. FYI Wisconsin has the best summer festivals. Check out Rockfest in Cadott and RockUSA in Oshkosh. $49 4 day pass at RockUSA! Doesnt get any cheaper! Also Harley Fest every year gets pretty good bands as well!

Might go... might not. We'll see
  • I was really hoping they would do summerfest this year. My company got a platinum package to give free passes to customers. It also give us rights to 8th and 15th is row tickets to every Marcus ampatheater show. My boss and most if not all of our clients only do country. Meaning i can have killer tickets to any non country act. Hoping for something decent. Rush does nothing for me. Tom petty, if you have seem him once or twice (or 3 times like me) you have seen all he has to offer. My wife did take the new kids/boyz 2 men.

    I'm busy that night. :D

Any of you folks planning on going to Alice In Chains at the Rave? Don't have tickets yet but I plan on being there.

I'm thinking about the BUZZFEST 30, this year.

I went to the very first two. The line up so far is nice.

The grounds for Summerfest are by far the best of the summer. The ski chairs and other activities outside of music are amazing and a good time. However, the way they announce the acts is terrible and the quality of music has really declined over the years IMO. Still a great time and if they announce a decent headliner for the remaining slots we will be in for sure......

Milwaukee is one of the most underrated cities in the Midwest.

How is that a Girl's day/night. I don't want to see that. Give me free tickets, earplugs, headphones, a blindfold and maybe I still won't go. Bush is playing at Buzzfest on 4/20.. To me that is a good type of day and night.

We're gonna get there as soon as the park opens and I plan on drinking the minute I enter Milwaukee city limits. My goal is to be so drunk I don't care who's on stage! (We are getting a hotel room too) Hopefully I can catch some good small stage bands throughout the day.

Saw Bush last year at Summerfest front row. Awesomely fun show!!! Gavin came right up to my daughter and serenaded her, she leaned over a gave him a big kiss!

Being a teacher, I can't do week nights and try to keep up with my students the next day. I'm always praying for more weekend concerts and summer stuff.

That link provides some names but not specific dates. For sure for this family, Social D and Skillet. Maybe Dropkick Murphy's, Switchfoot. OAR is fun but brings out every 19 year old in WI. LL Cool J might be a lot of fun to catch.

Hahaha never on this board! Haven't been around here long but there are some that come across scary! And some that aren't so much scary, but more inappropriate. FUNNY but wrong.

My son only comes home now twice a year, Christmas and the two weeks around the 4th of July. So we've turned Summerfest into a giant ongoing family party for him. It's funny how sometimes we are all at the stage together and other times we split up for hours and meet back up for beers. Daughter's boyfriend just surprised her with Luke Bryan tickets today. Not my cup of tea but she likes it.

Ugh!! who cares if they are playing in Chicago around that time. Were they afraid it wouldnt sell?

PeacefromPaul may be interested to hear him mention NIN, probably later in the summer he said.
