Wonder if it really was? Or if it was something like... I don't know... a remote controlled plane.

    I know - I mean a recreational one, ya trouble maker. ;)

If it's not something like that, ummmm.... well, if the US can have them all over the place, I guess it shouldn't surprise them that others are using them on the US too.

I'd guess it's a U.S. one if it is one at all. Just pushing our way towards having them in our big cities and

    ....

    in our farmlands...

And I'm sure Bloomberg is happy to oblige

I'm sure, but I don't know if the US government would just go ahead and fly drones over Brooklyn like that, and get caught doing it. If they were going to do that (and why would they do that?? What would be the motivation in your opinion? I can't think of one that would justify it), I think they'd be more careful that this, assuming they don't want anyone to know about it (which they wouldn't). Seems like a lot of trouble for the US. I think it would be more likely that it's not from the US, or it was simply a military testing exercise, in which case we should hear about it soon.

Do they have cameras all over Brooklyn? I don't know, I've never been. People tend to get pissy (myself included) when cameras are put up all over the place. Cruise around with a few drones and you can get a good eye on things and stay relatively quiet about it.

People have, reportedly, already seen them flying by and have also seen them above their farm fields looking for illegal crops and whatever else they do. It's a privacy issue... but, you can't hide the little fuckers flying around forever.

I don't think a drone does the same job as fixed cameras in cities though. So much not so I don't think they'd try this. Cameras placed all over cities are there to try and prevent crime by having people know that they are on camera, and also to record what is happening in fixed locations for long periods of time so that they can have record of an incident that happens randomly. A drone would never be able to pick up things like that as it flied overhead. I just do see any reason for the US to fly drones around its own cities for the sake of surveillance or security unless they knew specifically knew what they were looking for and where to find it.

If there is anything like this flying overhead, it could be for the sake of traffic pattern reporting, geological survey, etc. (And I don't think they'd be using military grade drones to do this. ), and at worst military testing. I don't know any of this any better than any of us, but I don't think there is any actual reason to jump to conclusions or start developing conspiracy theories.

Of course they are doing shit like that to investigate certain situations. That is old news though, and I don't really see what that has to do with what you were saying before, relating it to systems like public fixed camera systems in cities, and shit that Bloomberg might have anything to do with.

More cameras then you could ever imagine ... :?

They are everywhere you go. The camera angles are constantly changing. The cameras have the ability to go mobile and follow you if they want to. The recordings can be transmitted to millions of people within a few seconds.

here is what they look ....

Just pointing out that they can pick up more than you think. Get enough of them flying overhead and you can at THE VERY LEAST have some kind of surveillance system that is a little less obvious than having a bunch of cameras. Is it the same? Hell no, not at all! Besides that, yes... we don't know for sure what they are going to do with drones and we probably will never EVER know exactly. The rest is speculation and I simply have very little faith and trust in the federal government.

 Great point! And they work really well. Hundred and hundred of people who felt comfortable rioting in Vancouver and destroying and burning city and police property, looting and assaulting people in front of hundreds of phones taking video of them, up close, got arrested because everyone sent all the files to the cops who posted them online for everyone to see and ID the morons. Idiots.

It's not the visable stealthy drones you need to worry about... it's the one that are out there... that you never see nor hear... that will do you in.

    ...
They have been reported in those areas in the South, where they can easily blend in with the indigenous insect population and avoid detection.
