please put us out of our misery.....tell us one way or another.....either "it wont be released" or "it will"

how hard is it to just let us know for certain?

why would they NOT release it???

i'll just keep re-sending it until she gets fed up of me then ;)
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

i'll post the emails i have sent to Kat and Info@tenclub so you can see that i am trying on our behalf!!

    first one sent 11th May

Hi kat... i must say you're looking lovely today (yes, i'm grovelling)

as you might have seen we started up a sort of petition, although i hate that word, to see if we could shout long enough and hard enough to get the Astoria boot released. Pointless as this may be you can see quite a few names on the list considering i only started the thread yesterday morning

I'm applying to your better nature in the hope that you might understand some of the emotional turmoil the UK fans are going through at the minute, we hadn't seen the band for six years, and for a great many of us, the Astoria show was our first. Combine this with the fact that the only other UK dates on this tour are already sold-out festival dates, which i presume wont have downloads available either... so i hope you can understand the gravity of our feeling of being left-out so to speak!

can't you sympathise with us to an extent... i dont want to come across as moaning about the current state of events but it seems a shame not to have the show for download when all the others will be. its just means that all the UK fans (the bands second biggest fanbase after North America) wont have any bootlegs and actually, we have not one show on this tour that is purely for PJ fans, nor do we have a chance to use our 10club membership to any of the UK dates.

I, along with others, naturally assumed there would be a bootleg to download as a personal memory of the gig.. i realise the band doesnt need to release any shows and its a huge benefit to fans that they actually do this.

I'm not sure what the Bootcamp email was so i just clicked on the "contact us" part of the forum and this page appears, so if i have wrongly sent this to yourself then please send it to the proper person for me.. although you can change the wee bit at the top incase the proper person for this email is your ex-boxer husband who hates scottish people with a vengenance... :-)

thanks for your patience and time...

    Dunk

i hate to bother you but basecamp got in touch... and this is their reply!

The Astoria show is not currently being offered through the download
manager. All decisions regarding what to release, when and in what
format are made by Ten Club.
    Basecamp Support

so can you have a wee chat with Tim/or yourself and tell him i said he has to put it on... if he doesnt then i may be forced to lift my kilt to him!!!!!!!

i know its not probably going to happen but i feel like i must at least try... i mean if Ghandi had thought it wasnt going to worth it, or Martin Luther King... i'm no suggesting releasing a bootleg of a band is in any way on a par with the emancipation of a nation.... but its pretty close... we're attempting to keep up the good fight so to speak!

i just realised that Mike McCready has a very scottish name... tell him i'm Scottish and i want the astoria boot or i'll tell all his relatives over here that he's letting down his beloved motherland!!!

    Celebs endorse astoria release
Kelly Jones from the Welsh band The Stereophonics has been in touch with me about the bootleg for the Astoria show... he was at it and I swapped numbers with him at the pub afterwards. He said that he will continue singing in the style of Ed unless he gets a boot of the show... he also said he'd buy you guys some donuts!

also Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin and fish incident fame was there also and he telepathically sent me this message:-

"errr hello strange internet scots nutter... i hear on the celebrity musical grapevine that you guys want the Astoria bootleg... put me down for that to will you... sure i could afford to actually hire the band and make them play for me whilst chained in my 16th century dungeon, but the boot will suffice... for now at least... oh, and tell everyone that Jimmy Page says HI.... especially to you Dunkman, with your thighs so manly and hair so mane-like..... other than that just release the bootleg for these beautiful people Kat, or should i call you by your full name... Kat.... they deserve to know if it will ever be released!!.... "

so as you can see i have the mighty force of 2 celebrities at my disposal who are clamouring for the release of this bootleg... dont make me unleash their wrath!!!!

until next time my admin loving amigo

Ok, let's not push them. Let's stay nice and loving and let's, above all else, not piss them off... cos I'm liking the 'currently' not available scenario. Have we established whether or not the whole thing might have been filmed or not?

well i've tried being nice and now i will just keep sending silly stuff

if she has a wee laugh then she might be more inclined to give us an answer of any description... whereas being nice and polite just wont resonate as much..

i'd appreciate the 3rd email more but then thats because i have the mental age of 6 and the body of a slightly lazy and injured adonis... injured for at least 5 years that is!

Nah, what I mean is no news is good news for the moment... and maybe they just can't comment yet cos it's gonna be some big announcement :)

Kat's just having a blast reading your e-mails. She likes them so much that she thinks if she responds too quickly, she won't have her 'laugh a day' e-mail. I also think she's heard about the 'scot' lifting his kilt to the band and though you aren't the same scot, she is actually quite looking forward to you lifting your kilt to Tim et al. Your 'threats' seem like promises to her!
