Their playing at my house, my house :D

Pretty cool. Wish they would tour. This is one band I would love to see live. Don't think they ever played near philly though. Closest one that i'm aware of is when they joined Phoenix at MSG a few years ago

When I saw Daft Punk live in 2007, it was disappointing. the stage was incredible, lights amazing. but the thing that pissed me off, was the constant mash up style they were using. I, like most, fell in love in 97 with homework and was used to the way those songs sounded, but they would NOT just let a beat roll from that album. It was glitchy, cut up, and just not what my ears wanted to hear, I was just waiting for beats to drop and them to play a whole song. It was still a great show. The Rapture opened for them in Seattle. Really cool to see them up in the pyramid all set.

I saw DJ Shadow open for the Chemical Brothers here in Vancouver in 98, which was mind blowing.

But for my money, for mainstream electronic stuff, NOTHING beats a LIVE PA, not a dj set, LIVE PA set by the Crystal Method. Unbeatable. Seen them 5 or 6 met them 3 times. Best vibe, best hard pumping tunes.

I would see Daft Punk again in a heartbeat, give them a chance to put things right in my books.

For me Discovery is my favorite. Homework gets a little too repetitious at times. Love Alive and Indo Silver Club off Homework but every track on Discovery is just great. Would love to have something new from these guys. The Tool of Electronic music!

never saw Crystal Method, although they were literally playing down the road from me at the note in West Chester back in October. I had other plans though that night.

I found the first album on a sidewalk long ago...

I thought .. why not? Turned out well... actually. I'm a bIg fan. :D

I'm so glad you got them with out the costumes! You should share with the electronic community, if you can...

Some.. think they are stuck up and shallow... I think they are shy.

It was the Crystal Method guys that he took the picture with, not Daft Punk. Them not being photographed without their costumes is probably just part of the act. It creates some sort of mystic surrounding them, maybe a little more publicity too.

Do any of you posters think I'm selling my RSD Daft punk single for too much money? 65$

I've seen it sell for more. I've seen it sell for less. Lately it's more. I can't stand looking at it anymore.

It's not my favorite Daft Punk, I'm still a fan! I'm wishing for the new album. I need to sell this wax to pay for the other.

I'll give it another listen further down the line but the album is very repetitive. Similar style in a lot of the songs and it just couldn't really hold my attention. Disappointed.

After first listen, this album is probably the biggest disappointment of the year for me. Get Lucky is such a fantastic song, but the rest of the album is just plain boring.

I've never heard a daft punk record before in my entire life. The marketing campaign was exemplary and caught my attention. I usually like rock and alternative. This is one of the best records I've ever heard by anyone. It's like quadrophenia by the who. There's a theme and vignettes. It's pretty much flawless. I don't know what established fans expect from this band. Obviously not this. But it's brilliant. They're loss if they don't get it.

Fucking excellent record. Recommend it to anyone.
