Anyone else love this show?

Laura Dern IMO is amazing -- she makes an overbearing, crazed character so human and lovable.

Also, methinks Ed and PJ would endorse the show's anti-corporate crusade theme.

    You know, I've seen a couple eps and I really really wanted to like this show. Laura Dern does in fact do an amazing overbearing character, but I just find that it irritates me. I'm having a hard time getting into it...but I love Dermot Mulroney and I'm willing to give it another shot if his character shows up more. So we'll see!

    Stick with it - it becomes quite moving. Addiction, lost love, childhood trauma, the making of new friends and learning to love yourself in the journey. . . this little show covers a lot of ground.

    im a big fan. The writing and acting are excellent. Since season 1 ive been fascinated by the treatment center that Amy went to. And posted in the 12 step thread that personally even as someone who is clean and sober, Id love to go to the center she went to. You can definitely tell Laura has added in bits of her own political beliefs in their. I can also see the influence of the David Lynch foundation as well.

    Id love to attend the meeting/center she went to because it seemed more encompassing than dealing with addiction, it was about life and everything.

    Actually since the show premiered ive long toyed with the idea of attended 12 step because of the show.

    Interesting -- I am a 12-stepper and think that the principles of the steps can be used by anyone, addict or nonaddict, to live a peaceful life.
