why the hell not? I love the song and Eddie puts so much passion into it, and I feel like I have a soul that has been saved when I hear Pearl Jam, so the lyrics almost make me have an out of body exprerience

    Besides Atlanta 2012, this is my favorite version of the song. It was sort of the one that made me addicted to it.

    unfortunately the only youtube upload of Atlanta the audio is awful, the bass sounds awful

    Yeah, there used to be a better one up from ATL, but I suppose they took it down. What a shame. :(

    that sucks, if I get the boot, I will upload a version, I don't upload full shows of any boot they are selling in the 10c store, but I think I will make small promo uploads with 6 or 7 songs with links so people can buy the CD's or the boots like I did with DeLuna, so people can get a feel for the show without giving away the whole show so the band can still sell the boots

    Be appreciated! I used to drive 36 miles ONE way
    To work in KC.. And I was totally looking at work
    as a way go escape home. This song means so much to
    me.. So when I got to hear a version explained anew by
    Ed in KC in 2010... It just meant something more!! Such
    an amazing song. Then when I moved to Colorado, the lyrics
    I can see the light shining through in waves.. Wow!!

    hey I love Given To Fly as well, my 4th favorite song all time behind Black, Alive and Animal, so GTF light, no problemo with that comparison sir

    and watching it stoned makes it so much better, and it is legal in Seattle :D I know I will live their one day, that is what keeps me motivated when the day gets rough, so I can maintain a more positive attitude on life

    yeah well for many pearl jam fans we hear that song and in the since the band saved many of us so when Eddie sings with all the passion he does "I can feel like a soul that has been saved" we all kind of know exactly what he is saying, a uniting experience

    Favourite song by PJ of mine since 98. Those notes at the end of Mike's solo as he bends and releases are just perfect and give me goosebumps every time, then Ed singing higher in the final chorus building up to that "late"...man.

    Mike does shred this one - drinking bourbon on my deck and spinning the vinyl..... Backspacers gets an unfair bad wrap...
