    Shops didn't have it on vinyl but picked up the CD yesterday.

    You going to see them live then SuMay?? Do an extra cheer for me. :)

    I really want to, but given that it's a free show and "space is limited" and I'm working today, (not to mention it's still f**king cold out) I'm not sure if I have the stomach for it. It will be awesome, though, so I'm going to do my best. I'll grab an extra copy of the vinyl if I make it. Plus, maybe they will autograph them!

    I already have tickets to see them at the Bowery show which is on a Friday and more manageable for my schedule, so at least I have a backup.

    I hate being a grown up sometimes :x :x

    Hmmm, ok, I'll let you off on the free thing when you have tickets for Friday although vinyl... sigh.... signed..... double-sigh!! DO IT DARL! Fuck it, you can warm up again later! Thurston? In person, I mean, you know, up close & personal like? DO IT is my vote!! :):lol:8-)

    I'm definitely going to stroll there an hour or so before the show, I just don't have the time to hang out outside for half the day, and I have no idea how big or small the crowd is going to be so I may not get in. The store is tiny, I don't even know how the can have a live act! We'll see.

    I know, Thurston, yummy. He made a special appearance at a Mike Watt show I was at, it was cool.

    Cool hon. Enjoy the gig at least then. Doubt they'll come here. SY haven't even been here that often. Some guys I was flatting with in the mid 90s supported them on a US & then NZ & Oz tour & they've only been here once since then on the tour when they played Daydream Nation from start to finish at every show. It was a good show the one I went to. Anyway, enjoy & I'll give the new CD an extra spin sometime in honour of the tour. ;)

    Ok, so I made it in! Not sure if everyone did, actually, since it was tiny.

    Everyone should go see them if they are playing your city and especially if they are doing the record store shows. They are totally rocking, and so nice! They had to set up and break down their equipment, but still took the time to talk to fans and take pictures and sign stuff after the free show (which lasted about 45 minutes). I felt really bad asking them to sign my LP (sorry Jenny, I could only muster asking them to sign one!) but they were so gracious. Thurston was even taking pictures with people.

    Definitely looking forward to the Bowery show, will try to go earlier so I can actually see them next time :lol::lol::lol: They were floor level, I could see half the drummer and the top of Thurston's head.

    And for whatever reason, I find Thurston oddly appealing :mrgreen:

    Thurston Moore New Year's Eve double bill at The Stone in NYC's East Village (with Mike Watt/Raymond Pettibon and then Chelsea Light Moving), followed by week-long residency. Someone please go to the NYE show so I can live vicariously through you! I already made plans to see another awesome band but will definitely try to make the residency.
