Anybody else see this video clip? I thought it was hilarious. The news did a little remixed version where he repeatedly says it over and over again. Anywho. Peace.

    I guess... it all depends...
If i am going to ward off a burgular, for example... the sound of a shotgun shell being loaded into the breech from behind the locked door is enough to scare off 99% of them... the blast from the barrel is sufficient enough to stop the other 1%. I don't need an AR-15.

    BUT...
If i am planning to hold off the Cypress Police Department... I will need an AR-15. If they call in the Orange County Sheriffs department, I will need an M-60. If they call in the California State Police, I will need a chain gun and a TOW missile launcher. If they call in the National Guard, I will need a flame thrower and an M-1A-1 Abrams Tank. If they call in the U.S. Marines, I will need a Vulcan Phalanx anti-aircraft artillery battery and a low yield thermonuclear device.
    ...
So... yeah, a shotgun is pretty much going to do the trick because I am not a psycho who believes I can win an arms race with the United States Department of Defense.

    Gold star for this post.

Not going to win anything with that attitude.

I know. But, at least i can find comfort in the fact that the structure I am holed up in isn't going to have a 500 lb. bomb dropped on it as i try to defend it against Marine Corp F-18s because the U.S. government wants to take away my Vulcan Phalanx surface to air defense system.

  • Sorry Chadwick, I don't have a link. I saw it on the evening news. It's funny to me because of his voice and the way it seems like he is begging the public to buy a shotgun. I will wholeheartedly agree that the sound from a shotgun is quite intimidating. They are a good tool for home defense if you actually believe that could ever happen to you. Just funny to see a vice president act so weird. Kinda reminded me of "W" Bush.

It was pretty funny actually. Biden kind of cracks up briefly like he often does. I hope he becomes the first ex-VP comedian to make it big. I like the guy- he always makes me laugh.

Where is the unedited version? You know, the one where Biden says, 'Go buy a shotgun... unless you are Dick Cheney'. Why did they edit that part out?
