I am thinking about seeing them in April - KC Starlight -- smaller venue but i was wondering if its the type of show where it is worth it to pay extra and sit close or would sitting further back maybe even be better - to see a wider view of what is happening --- anyone who has seen them and has some advice would be appreciated --

It's been a few years, but I saw them a couple times from up close in theaters, and part of their Bonnaroo 2008 tent show from a bit of a distance, and I'd say it's probably cool either way. The shows I saw, there wasn't a video element that would be ruined by being too close to it, just light and color stuff that is fine either way. Seeing them play (and Jonsi sing) up close was cool, but it probably wouldn't ruin the experience if you weren't able to watch their fingers. In a smallish venue, you'll probably be happy regardless.
