Hey there,
I'm off to London next week and I'm planning my trip.
I'll be in town from 25th Feb. till 7th March.
Any nice events happening that anyone can recommend? Exhibitions, gigs, Team McCready events?
Anything cool is welcome!!
I'm already planning Liechtenstein at the Tate Modern, and an evening at Ronnie Scotts.
Thanks!!

P.S: What about the British museum (Parthenon marbles)?
There's also lots of really cool street art around Brick Lane: http://www.visitbricklane.org/#/brick-l ... 4537674490
I also really liked Greenwich. Check out the Royal Observatory where Prime Meridian is. While you're there, stop by Flood Gallery to check out some gig posters (a bit overpriced if converting to USD, but they have some cool posters) and Casbah Records. Flood Gallery is in a market with lots of neat little shops and stalls. There's also a Fan museum in Greenwich that sounded really cool but I ran out of time

It is probably the best brewery tour I have ever been on.
Sightseeing? Touristy things?
You must go to westminster abbey and the churchill war rooms.
Tower of London and the royal jewels was nice as well.
Other than that, get a good pair of waterproof walking shoes and a map.
Oh yeah, its also crazy expensive.
And hopefully you can get a good recommendation for Indian food. Its bloody good in London.
Cheers

^might be a good option. Ive used a similar service in the states and canada and saved a bundle.
i was in chicago last year when the lichtenstein exhibition was around. i was so excited at my unplanned good timing.. then i saw for the days i was in town the exhibition was open only to members of the art institute. :(
take a good look
this could be the day

Sorry!!!!!! I should have made it a bit more clear!!
I lived in London for 17 years, so I more or less have done the touristy stuff. I've not been there in 6 years though.
That's why I asked about events, exhibitions, and gigs...
I must agree with all of you though about the cool stuff you suggested.
Fuller's brewery sounds good, and I might give that a go! Never been there.
KFC is horrible in Greece so and I miss the good stuff so I will have to go!!! :-)
East London was up and coming by the time I left and now it is exploding with culture, so thanks for suggesting Brick Lane!!
Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Any current events? I'm gutted I missed BRAD!!
Sorry I made you write all that stuff, but if anyone is ever going to London for the first time and asks here, I will point them to your answers!!! Thanks again!!
Yes, yes it was.
