"I am just here to support the President of the United States," Rock said. "The President of the United States is ... our boss. ... The president and the first lady are kind of like the mom and the dad of the country, and when your dad says something, you listen! And when you don't, it usually bites you in the ass later on."

Interesting characterization of the office of the President. I wonder if he felt the same 8 years ago...
that’s right! Can’t we all just get together and focus on our real enemies: monogamous gays and stem cells… - Ned Flanders
It is terrifying when you are too stupid to know who is dumb
- Joe Rogan

where was this quote taken from? an interview?

i like chris rock and he is a smart guy, but his description here is a little too simplistic. sounds like something a 5th grader would recite in social studies class.
"You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry."  - Lincoln

"Well, you tell him that I don't talk to suckas."

And here I thought the President worked for us.

interesting in how he said it, I wonder if he meant it the way it came out...unfortunately I think he did.

It's not only simplistic, but completely false.

Reminds me of something someone on a panel on CNN said the other day (the topic was something stupid like black people being typecast in Hollywood or some shit). He said something like millions of white people have embraced Obama as a kind of Cliff Huxtable figure. I thought about that for a while, wondering if that could be true and what it might mean (I.e. the context of what Cliff Huxtable means matters). I thought it seemed like a negative statement for sure, mostly a comment about white people still being kind of racist even if they aren't. And now Chris Rock says this.... makes me wonder if it's not black people who see him like a Cliff Huxtable figure?? And if so, what the hell does THAT mean?? Since I recall the issue with the Cosby Show being that the Cosbys were viewed by some black people as acting "too white" since that was the only way to get white people to watch the show.
