Gun owners get a discount at Virginia pizza shop

owners a 15 percent discount.

The discount is given to anyone who brings a gun or concealed handgun permit to All Around Pizzas and Deli.

Owner Jay Laze tells news media outlets that he'd planned on offering the discount for a limited time. But he says the response has been overwhelming, and he might make it permanent.

Since the discount began last Friday, Laze says 80 percent of his customers have brought guns into the pizza shop. He says one customer came in with an AK-47.

Laze is a gun owner and says he's always been a supporter of the right to carry firearms.

Not sure where this came from...at any rate, I doubt it, in this case.

I guess this is no different than a business having "ladies night" - discount given for having a gun permit, discount given for having a hoo-ha. Hell, I recently read an article about a discount given because the patrons' children were well-behaved.

The wording in the article is a bit ambiguous though - are they bringing in guns or permits to own guns? And if bringing in guns, is the owner keeping them, doing something with them?

I must be missing the big gun wording - didn't see it in this article, hence my comment ;)

    discount for a hoo-ha

    that's great

he only required that they bring in their gun permit for the discount
but apparently they are bringing in guns
and apparently the restaurant is going to continue the practice

    the last line was mine
we have guns but don't want to be around a bunch of gun-toting yahoos
(again, we never shot at a living thing)
fuck 'em if they can't take a joke
