'Unlawful Killing'- The Assassination of Princess Diana

I watched this the other week. I always thought she'd been bumped off, and said so whilst watching the event unfolding live on t.v one night in the early hours of the morning back in 1996. This documentary just confirmed my suspicions.

Unlawful Killing – the film the British won't get to see

My documentary about the Diana inquest will be shown everywhere but the UK. Here's why

Keith Allen
The Guardian, Friday 6 May 2011

The internet is a global lavatory wall, a Rabelaisian mixture of truth, lies, insanity and humour. I felt its power and madness this week, when an excerpt from my new film, Unlawful Killing, was leaked on to YouTube and seized on by US conspiracy theorists, who immediately began claiming that the CIA had murdered Princess Diana, thereby allowing others to dismiss my documentary as mad.

Deriding its critics as mad is an age-old British establishment trick. My "inquest of the inquest" film contains footage of Diana recalling how the royals wanted her consigned to a mental institution, and the inquest coroner repeatedly questioning the sanity of anyone who wondered if the crash was more than an accident. His chief target was Mohamed Al Fayed, a man I once profiled for a Channel 4 documentary. Before I met him, I'd half-believed the media caricature of him as a madman, driven nuts by the death of his son, and wildly accusing the Windsors of having planned the 1997 crash. However, I found a man who was sane and funny but frustrated that Britain wouldn't hold an inquest into his son's death. Michael Mansfield QC thought it unfair too, and fought for one to be held; which was why the longest inquest in British legal history eventually began in 2007.

Princess Diana documentary Unlawful Killing is shelved

Controversial film about Princess Diana's death, directed by Keith Allen and funded by Mohamed Al Fayed, fails to secure insurance for US distributors

    Ben Child
    guardian.co.uk, Thursday 5 July 2012

A controversial documentary questioning the circumstances of Princess Diana's death has been shelved after insurers refused to indemnify the makers against potential libel lawsuits, reports the Sun.

Unlawful Killing, directed by Keith Allen and funded by Diana's partner Dodi Fayed's father, Mohamed Al Fayed, was screened at Cannes last year, though it was not part of the official festival. It alleges that "dark forces" within the British establishment worked to cover up the true details of Diana's death in 1997.

Producers admitted last year that lawyers had warned them to make 87 cuts if they wanted to show the film in Britain, but the makers had hoped to show the film in the US and other territories to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the deaths of Diana and Dodi in a Parisian tunnel. Unfortunately, insurers have baulked at the prospect because US distributors might have faced litigation through their UK offices.

  • Hey byrnzie'
Of COURSE you knowi intend to watch this, but tell me upfront what the premise presented here is for the REASON for her offing?

I've read suspicious stuff before, and from my hazy recollection regarding motives, I seem to recall that the guy she was marrying was rather unsavory and presented several embarrassing problems to the royal family. Something along the lines of he had relations to drug smuggling or something... But just tell me what the fuck they allege here. ?

I was in some local music club, and every band dedicated their show to Diana.
I always wondered why Mother Teresa didn't get any goodbye tears.

Was it really an assassination? OP? why now? I have read many stories. I think the driver was drunk and scared.

    Accidents happen some days...

    But it's just my opinion.

The driver wasn't drunk. And the subject of her being bumped off has been discussed from day one.

oh that's sad D. I remember the night too like yesterday. With my then 12 year old son on the way home from a restaurant where we had our fortunes read. In the dark night on the freeway, shocked, speechless.
I too always thought more, but my hope was she was actually alive in hiding somewhere,
out of the limelight. I still hope to this day. I would like to watch this documentary, it all
seemed so suspicious, unbelievable to me, same with the young JFK.

remembering watching the news that night seeing this. very sad.

but off topic - can someone tell me why for the european's (or others not sure) here when you type the word 'WHILE" it shows as 'WHILST" in the posts? i see it all the time here. see the original post in line 1
  • There were many reasons the monarchy wanted her dead.

    Many.

Including that she would be the future queen mother, and a constant reminder of how the monarchy had become more of a tabloid soap opera than anything else.

But yes.. It's amazing how many people actually believed that the driver was drunk, that he'd been run off the road by paparazzi and how it was an open and shut decision.

WHILST is simply the obsolescent form of the word WHILE. much like amongst and among. both are correct and mean the same thing.

If Diana is more important than

    MOTHER Theresa.

I feel society caving inside .

But I have known for years...

Mother Theresa was very punk rock and had no fears.
She embraced the unacceptable and loved them always.

    What does my opinion matter

Of course Mother Theresa was important she was incredible with her work but she also lived a very long long life.
Princess Diana was killed way before her time, she had so much more to do. ..

I was pregnant with my son at the time and will never forget Princess Diana.... RIP

Why wouldn't that be believed? As someone who doesn't really get the obsession with British royalty, I can say that the motive you provided above sounds pretty unconvincing. And w/o an obvious motive, why would someone on the outside (like me) feel called to question the reports that were being repeated ad nauseum throughout the world?

What's crazy is that she predicted it would happen
in a note before she died!

That among countless other pieces of evidence were "swept" under the rug.

I watched the documentry and it's worth watching.

I definatly look at the Monarchy in a different way now....

I suppose it's possible. But I'm suspect of a documentary that is bankrolled by the father of boyfriend that died and is the biggest vocal critic.

It seems no secrets can be kept anymore. With the number of people that had to be involved in the cover-up, it seems unlikely no one has spilled the beans in over 15 years.

i watched a credible little documentary on mother theresa. she was a solid prick & fully believed in suffering straight across the board. her shelters or whatever they are called over there in India, filled w/ the sick & dying & mother theresa fully believes they do not need beds, they can pray & have quiet time lying on their blankets on the frickin cement or dirt floors & they may carry on dying in this uncomfortable fashion.

punch up 'mother theresa a fraud'. punch up 'christopher hitchens, mother theresa: hell's angel'.

mother theresa was not very kind like people paint her to be. in my opinion diana a whole lot kinder of a human being. that is how i see it. however, i've never met either one of them. if diana was murdered it would not surprise me in the least as i do not trust most powerful people, groups & government officials of any kind.

trust royalty? not in 47 trillion light years.

Princess Diana death: Scotland Yard studying new information

Information relating to fatal crash in Paris in 1997 reported to have come from parents-in-law of former soldier

    Lin Jenkins
The Observer, Saturday 17 August 2013

The Metropolitan police are to assess new information about the deaths of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed in a road crash in Paris in 1997.

Scotland Yard did not elaborate on the information, or its source, but Sky News said it had come from the former parents-in-law of a former soldier and had been passed on by the Royal Military police.

The information, which is thought to include the allegation that the Princess of Wales, Fayed and their driver Henri Paul were killed by a member of the British military, will be assessed by officers from the Specialist Crime and Operations Command.

The force said in a statement on Saturday night that it was studying information into the deaths that it had recently received and was "assessing its relevance and credibility"...
  • really surprised that even the smallest shred of information ABOUT new information was released in the news.
wondering if the public will EVER get a whiff of what this new information actually is.
