If you one of the other threads on here, I HATE the Athens girls - they ruin the boot. However......the band is on fire, it's a fuckin' great gig. So, definitely worth a listen. One of the best of '06.

Yeah I was just reading that. Funny stuff. I'll get it eventually, though it sounds annoying. I'm not sure I can take the singing along!

Thanks a lot for the replies everyone!
I was happy to come back from work today and find 3 pages of opinions.
Although the opinions vary for obvious reasons I think I have a much better idea of which bootlegs to get first now =)

You should get the boot of Arnhem 2006 because of the lyrics in Yellow Ledbetter:

Oh, I'd like to see'm I'd stay in holland forever and a day.....
Oh I know and I phone and I couldn't left the message, but I'm stuck in the USA

I'd recommend to definitely avoid Leeds, Reading and Marseille if you're only getting a few shows...they're pretty average. Impressive setlists (which I think clouds some people's judgement) but mediocre performances.

If you're only going to get, say, five boots of those released so far (one whole leg to go still, remember...):

    Camden 2
    LA 2
    Santa Barbara
    Torino
    Prague

They're top notch in terms of setlist and sound quality if you ask me, can't go wrong.

If you include Reading in that you need to get your ears checked!!

And i just listened to Marseille today and I don't see the problem..yes they fuck up a few times but there's some really good impro in that.
Zagreb is better than Prague and Milan better than Torino, although all are good..my 2c (possibly biaised by the fact I was at all those shows)

Reading a mediocre performance?? you're kidding right? I've heard about 20+ of the boots and think this is one of the best for band performance, there are better sets as this was a little short but they were on great form!!

It seems the winners of this thread based on number of mentions are more or less:

    San Diego, - 8
    Milan, - 8
    Zagreb, - 7
    San Francisco 3, - 7
    George1, - 6
    Grand Rapids, - 5

Seems I can't go wrong with any of those, I think I'll download them in that order or depending on the setlists I like best, over time so I don't kill my wallet.
Damn, music is such an expensive passion but I've never felt it's money bad spent. :D

Thanks for the feedback all, can't wait to listen to these!! though I'm still enjoying Pistoia a lot.

Just my opinion, possibly unbiased as I wasn't at ANY of those shows. I really think they performed better in Torino than Milan by a long shot and better in Prague than Zagreb...but hey, that's just based on my personal taste.

Marseille has very mediocre sound quality as well - some of the Euro boots, the Lisbon shows come to mind, have really questionable sound. The Italian shows and all that followed are flawless however, Athens excepted.
