Lineup has been announced. Sick, sick, sick :-D . Petty, The Black Crowes, KOL, Jim James, The Roots, Kendrick Lamar, Galactic, Public Enemy ::drools:: Went last year and had a blast. Heading back this year again. Anyone else going?

  • i am going -- i am not super stoked about the lineup -- i am not sure why either - i need that 3rd headliner to crush it 8-)
but yeah - Best Coast on the beach - Passion Pit on the beach (not a huge fan normally) The Shins - PE - Roots - and Bassnecter all have me stoked. Tom Petty and KOL I guess are a little disappointing for me

Ohhh....if only 8-) . Seriously doubtful but one can hope :P . The announcement email sent out by the Hangout folks had the last headliner blurred out. Spatial/scale-wise, the words Pearl Jam would fit perfectly into that space...it's a band w/ a relatively short name (crosses fingers that it's not Skrillex)

Slightly Stoopid is gonna be nice on the beach and maybe Gov't Mule will break out with Temple of the Mule? Mumford and Sons were the front runner for third headliner but there has been some balking on that now that they are "grammy" winner and therefore want more money. Other forum "rumors" are "90's band" that recently broke up and got back together. Some People are saying NIN since Sound garden is already playing that weekend. Another theory is Roo has the same headliner and they have exclusive rights to announce first. Either way I'll be there with a :D on my face.

Any other information on the other dates? If Voodoo is true, I would be super stoked.
40+ shows, it is never enough!

    11/1

It looks like last year the lineup wasnt announced until the end of June, so we'll be waiting for the fall dates for a while.

I don't see PJ being the last hangout headliner. It does not make sense considering they played Pensacola last year and the two cities are only 15 miles apart.

I've seen multiple posts about PJ playing voodoo. Is there any CREDIBLE source? Or, just wishful thinking?

only 15 miles away from Pensacola? I thought it was farther than that

I was wrong in my prior post, it is actually 30 miles. My bad. I had to fly into Pensacola when I went to hangout. That said, it is still very close. Considering the small market size, I can't see that area getting two shows in a year. After all, I live in the 4th largest city and we haven't gotten a show in 10 years.

I didn't even realize that it was that close.

  • I got my tickets for the fest and plan on going. Only an hour and a half drive for me, so it should be awesome. Wondering who the last headliner will be. Hopefully someone amazing, because I do like the lineup so far, but another killer headliner would really seal the deal for me.
