His parents were the coolest allowing this to happen. Later @toddstrassman joined on bass in 10th grade. Flea took over in 12th grade. Anyway. Out May 29! The new full-length studio album “Iridescence” by Jack Irons (@jackironsdrummer) and Remco Hendriks (@groove_a_holic) will be out tomorrow on all music streaming platforms!
10 adventurous tracks with Jack’s signature drumming and synths, accompanied by Remco’s melodic bass grooves and harmonic layering. All sounds are performed real-time with drums, basses, pedals, synths, and percussion, without midi or digital editing and with an analogue recording approach.

The cover was made by late Dutch painter Joop Smits, he was Remco’s cousin. When Jack came up with “Iridescence” as title, this painting came to Remco’s mind straight away, as it was Joop’s fascination as well. He was a celebrated painter and left an immense body of work when he passed in 2014, his work is shown in galleries around the world, in many rooms, on calendars etc. This painting found a home in “Iridescence” and will remain gracing Remco’s aunt Nelleke’s living room in her private collection throughout its new journey in music.

Here’s a sneak preview of 5 new tunes from the “Iridescence” album. Thanks everyone for listening to our first 3 singles “Under Alien Water”, “Creatures of the Deep” and “The Dog Dance”. Tomorrow May 29th the full album will be out on all major digital music stores and streaming sites!
