I've been checking flights today and a return from Dublin to Chicago would be 762euro. However I'm not sure what way I'll be flying OVER as I've 10 days to play around with but I know I have to come home on the Monday so I just checked how much the return flight would cost as a one way flight just out of interest... 277, cheaper than as one leg of a return flight with the same airline.
Cos I was thinking of maybe flying INTO NY and spending a few days there before heading to Chicago. Doing this would actually save me almost 200euro as it works out at 575euro
Good to know, eh?

you still have to pay to stay in NY and then transport from NY to Chicago though - definitely would cost more than the €200 you're "saving"! The price of going to Chicago would cost the same as my whole Euro tour... just don't think its worth it.
And yeah, flights can be strange! I remember the flight from Munich to Poland was less than half price if ye booked a return instead of siingle flight! Strange!

SMELL YER MA!
I was going to spend the same amount of time wherever it is anyway and it looks like accommodation would be cheaper in NY than Chicago and transport wouldn't be too much.

OH MY! lolla beverly hills style.
AND do the math- 3 days of music, all the beer, wine & water you want, 2 meals a day and side stage seating for $850 bucks a piece - I paid almost 1/2 that for my amazing seat in Honolulu.
