FT: Lost Dogs vinyl...for Garage Psych Albums or...

I have never offered up any of my PJ albums BUT I may be willing to part with my unsealed copy of Lost Dogs.

What I would really like to trade for is an excellent copy of an original 1967 Velvet Underground "unpeeled banana" vinyl...no lousy reissues. Owning this album would be like owning a bit of an Andy Warhol painting...kind of since he designed the front sleeve. I would trade one for one if this is offered. Also needs to be the "torso" cover...unairbrushed version.

Or if you have any other garage psych albums...Soft Machine...Peanut Butter Conspiracy...etc. depends on the album...it may take a few albums to match for the trade of Lost Dogs.

Might be a long shot...but where else would I go to find out?

PS Not wanting cash...trade only. I will let this float around and die out if there is no interest or takers. No bump action here.

I am on the traders list...with good things said!

Thanks...glad someone sees it how I do.

I will say this...this deal stands indefinetly until I find a copy myself. If someone on here wants to seek it out and buy it for the trade...well that would be swell. Just make sure you are getting the right version. The album does not have to be 100%...and the banana can be peeled...may even have a rip or so...just thought I would put this in anyone's head who may have interest in getting a copy of Lost Dogs...

Yeah, unpeeled copies usually go for anywhere between $800 and $1500. Don't think a Lost Dogs will yield a trade like that.

Good luck though. there are some pretty superb albums to be had from that era.

Really? That seems steep...here is one from a reputible seller on ebay...he is my vinyl guy...I just missed this by an hour or so..unpeeled, torso for $250...is that price a sealed copy or one that is ultra mint?

Yes, there are tons of albums from the 60's and 70's that are mind blowing.

Sorry. Meant to add that those numbers are sealed copies.

a lot of the opened ones can go anywhere between $150-300...

Does it matter if its the airbrushed torso version?

The torso version will be in mono only...they were recalled and a big black sticker was put over them...kind of similiar to the infamous Beatles butcher cover.

I would prefer the torso version...prices will very...does not have to be unpeeled...and the vinyl can have some wear.,sleeve scuffs...some popping...just not skips or major warping.

One sold recently one ebay for $250...

I think it can be done. May take some work...and if people are looking then it might be found for cheaper. It is worth a shot.

Here is the recalled album with the sticker over the torso..

This is an example I found...it is the second pic...this one does not have the banana...

I will hunt on...and if someone finds it for this and makes the trade with me...that is a double score for them and one for me!
